Our Children Of Lir Dark blue Stud Earrings are a combination of blue green glass, black and ivory. They sit gracefully on the ear creating a look of class and elegance. The story of the Children of Lir is very famous in Irish mythology. Under a magic spell they were transformed into swans and left to reside on Lough Derravaragh for three hundred years. We craft our jewellery and live very close to Lough Derravaragh and often walk the shores and admire the migrating swans that appear here every year to breed. All of our enamel jewelry is open fired here in our workshop in Multyfarnham which is nestled deep in the green Irish countryside. The open fired method of enameling is rare and helps us to produce very individual pieces. These will forever be individual to the wearer. This particular art form is very hot work and best suited to Irish winter weather. This is good for us as we can try to create some free time during the summer months to travel and be inspired.
